I was discharged from the military on short notice, and soon realized that it is very difficult to pay expenses with no income. After bouncing around from couch to couch for months, I decided to see what the shelter had to offer. The staff of St. Anne's Center welcomed me into their facility without hesitation. Once at the shelter, not only were my basic needs met (shower, a bed, food), I also received the encouragement and support I needed to help get my life back on track. I was also able to save my income and begin living independently again, and, I even enrolled at Weber State University to further my education. Shortly after leaving St. Annes, I even received help in getting furniture for my new apartment. To anyone who is having difficulties, I fully recommend speaking with one of the counselors at St. Anne's; it's a wonderful community resource.

    Former St. Anne's Client

I came here off the streets to have a warm place to sleep, a shower, and a good meal to eat. I have started to get a better grip on life. I am now headed for Job Corps, and St. Anne’s Center is where it all started.

St. Anne’s and the TSSP (Transition to Self Sufficiency Program) are the best things that have happened to me. It has given me a chance to slow down; take a long look at my life, and make some concrete plans for the future.
