Volunteering to Help Those in Need

St. Anne's Center is always open. Ideally, there would always be at least 2 responsible people on sight to man the front desk and deal with any issues that might arise. We need volunteers who are willing to serve 3-4 hours shifts on a regular basis (maybe the same time each week). You could serve as a front desk attendant where you would answer phones, greet clients and visitors, receive donations or anwser questions. We would also like to find volunteers to spend time in the dorms between 6 and 8 each evening to help us ensure we are providing a clean and safe environment.

There are also a number of ongoing tasks that need to be performed on a regular basis. These include sorting donations, preparing hygiene kits, data entry, and preparing thank you notes to send to donors.

Every day, St. Anne's serves a hot, nutritious lunch to over 100 people. We looking for groups that would like to adopt one day each month and help prepare and serve lunch, especially on the weekends. Groups can also help with special cleanup projects, painting, or adopting family rooms and fixing them up.

Finally, we are always in need of professinal help. Plumbers, electricians, locksmiths, and handymen will alwyas be appreciated. Also, as you can see if you drive by us, we are desperately in need of help from someone who knows sprinkler systems and landscaping.
